Spring Green Fire Department and EMS Move into a New Firehouse.

On Nov. 15th, 2008 the Spring Green Fire and EMS moved from their old location at 495 W. Madison St. to their new faciltiy located at 327 S. Winsted St. The new department headquarters is located where a crop-saver building, sheet metal working shop, and 2 other parcels of land sat and were recently purchased by the Spring Green Fire Protection District. The buildings were taken down, the land was excavated, and the new Fire/EMS facility was constructed. This is a beautiful building that welcomes people to our community as it sits on WI. State Hwy 23. Some of the amenities include a conference room and large meeting room which are available to organizations of our district to hold meetings, a full scale kitchen, a living room, 3 single bedrooms, and an exercise room. A hose drying tower which doubles as a training tower stands over 3 stories tall and provides many opportunites for firefighters to keep up on their skills. We are all very proud of this new facility and we look forward to serving the communities in our district for many years to come!

Display Room / Wall of Gratitude

The Fire and EMS Departments have incorporated an antique showroom and the "Wall of Gratitude" which welcomes visitors as they enter the building.

The Spring Green Fire Department would like to thank everyone who donated to the "Wall of Gratitude" ( In the background of the photo). The Wall of Gratitude allowed citizens to donate to the building fund which then offset the total cost of the building. Many donated money to the wall of gratitude but we also received a large number of items donated to be placed in areas such as the Living Room, Kitchen, Bedrooms and Entertainment Area. We greatly appreciate the people of our district for helping to make this project possible!

The front display room also holds items dated back to the beginning existence of the Spring Green Fire Department. On display we have a 1936 Ford Engine which was the first ever motorized vehicle of the Department. A uniform from the late Fire Chief C.M. "Milford" Graham can also be viewed in this room. Graham died in the line of duty after a brick wall fell on him during a downtown structure fire on May 21, 1931. Also on display is an antique bucket brigade wagon. The wagon carries 18 leather buckets, 4 axes, and a ladder. It was pulled to the scene of a fire by approximately 6 to 8 men.
